Hype

Upper Stair is a great, short outing. Although not technical, it does involve a lot of chimneying and stemming, so is only recommended for technical canyoneers. Being a short route, with no rappels, allows this canyon to be enjoyed while carrying minimal gear.

Thanks for your beta on Stair, which we used a few weeks ago. That is one fun canyon with great skinnies and plenty of fun chimneying and shimmying. We added Horseplay for an A+ day in the canyons. First time in each canyon for all three of us. But I'm definitely going to do that trip again. We took along a 40' rope which was useful for both canyons for handlines on some of the more challenging climbs. Thanks for the info and the map! Keep up the great work. Bill
