Hype
Blushing Bride offers a great 2-6 hour outing (depending on options taken) that is not technical, but requires some down climbing skills. It is a good place for beginners. The downclimbs are all fairly short, and have good geometry for spotting and helping other team members. The canyon can have a few pools, so is best done in Spring through Fall. No wetsuit needed unless very cold conditions. Even though it is short and easy, it offers great scenery with a short approach. The perfect introduction to canyoneering.Jilted Lover, a side fork of Blushing Bride, ups the ante significantly, and requires good climbing skills. It drops remarkable fast, with few anchor possibilities. It is beginner friendly if one member of the group is advanced and can be the anchor for others to rappel off of. Be prepared for insecure downclimbs up to about 5 m ( 17 ft. ).
Once through one, or both short canyons, the area offers a multitude of options for getting back.
