South Fork of Bull Canyon (aka Chambers) - White Roost
RATING: 3A R-
LENGTH: 2-4 Hours
GEAR: A short 15 m ( 50 ft ) rope might be useful. Because the canyon is very
tight, bring a small pack. Headlamp useful.
RAPPELS: 0, but much climbing.
Hype:
Chambers, although short in length, packs a lot of action and beauty
into a small space, literally. Due to the amount of climbing, this is
reserved for intermediate or better canyoneers. Also, due to it's
size, canyoneers over about 180 lbs. or with barrel chests will
not fit.
My History:
Michael Kelsey, Jon Jasper and I descended Chambers in the Fall of 2006. (Perhaps a first descent.)
Shortly after, other groups found the canyon, and it became popular. It
is a gem! My last trip through was in the Spring of 2008.
