Gear: Standard technical gear. 1-60M Rope AND
2-30M ropes. Wetsuit for the cold sensitive.
Water: Generally a few pools with open areas after to warm up in.
Flash flood Danger: Moderate, but you can see the whole
drainage and skies on the approach.
Season: Spring, Summer, Fall.

Yellow Brick Road is one of the most beautiful areas around. This is not the place for tight, deep, dark slots, but rather open areas, big views, and an incredible bridge. Unique features abound on this one. This is a hike with a few amazing rappels. If your looking for a technically challenging slot fest, look elsewhere. I first explored the area in the winter of 2005 with Penny Martens. We found Tik-Tok bridge the first day, and came back the next day to rappel it.Fascinated by the area, Penny Martens, Kent Beverly, and myself came back in the spring of 2005 to do Yellow Brick Road. The beauty and tranquility of the area astounded me. This is one of my favorites.
I was back in the area in the spring of 2007, re-visiting Tik-Tok arch.
