RATING: 3B
LENGTH: 2-3 hours each fork.
GEAR: Standard Technical Gear
RAPPELS: Left Fork 3 to 15 m ( 50 ft ) / Right Fork 2 to 15 m ( 50 ft )
WATER: Generally little or none unless right after rains. Possibly wading, but likely no swimming.
FLASH FLOOD DANGER: Moderate, but you can see the whole drainage and skies on the approach.
SEASON: Any, although summers can be hot.

Hype:

Blarney, and the left fork of Blarney in particular, is one of the best slots in North Wash. It's short approach, beautiful slot sections, and straight forward anchors make this a great choice for beginners and experienced canyoneers alike.

My History:

I have been in both forks on several occasions over the last few years. The right fork is definitely my favorite, but I find the left fork a great warm up for beginners.
