North Wash - Utah
North Wash canyons tend to be short, narrow, and physical.

When?

Anytime, although summers are too hot for my taste. Because North Wash canyons tend to not hold a ton of water, they can be pleasant even in the dead of winter.

Where?

For the GPS enabled, it's roughly (12S 541012E 4207706N). For the non-GPS enabled, it's roughly 28 miles south of Hanksville on highway 95. Mile posts start at 0 in Hanksville, with a large primitive camping area informally known as Sandthrax located in the heart of North Wash canyons around Mile Marker 28. This is on the left side as you head south, and is a large flat area with several good spots.

What?

Classics include Leprechuan, Left Blarney, and Shenanigans for the skinny folk. I have beta for Conundrum currently on this site. It is an exception to the narrow, physical nature of other North Wash canyons, but will likely be enjoyed by those canyoneers with limited experience, or those looking for a short scenic afternoon jaunt.
