Hype:

Make no mistake, Winter Camp Wash is not a destination canyon. Think of it, rather, as an after dinner canyon if your in the area. The canyon is a short, yet impressively deep Entrada sandstone slot. The canyon, with only one rappel, is a good choice for beginners. The view from the first rappel, is breathtaking, and has good evening light for photos.

My History:

I rim walked the canyon in the Fall of 2009, but weather prevented me from descending it until the spring of 2010. Cristina and I descended it one evening in about and hour and a half.
